Man , I look back at my time served and realiize how much you have to sacrifice. I made a huge mistake not staying in , I would have retired with 20 years in 2012 with my whole life still ahead of me. I didnt and now I strugle from day to day to make ends meet and wonder what if. On the other side I never had to face hostile fire , I served from 92 - to 96 and the only conflict we saw was in Somalia and it was over within a couple months. After the Yeman attacks and 9/11 I can only imagine how hard it has gotten. I respect anyone who has served in the past or will serve in the future. I agree with my buddie Hellbilly and say you should sit down weigh the options with your family becouse it has to do with them as well, and try to figure out what it is you are wanting to do. it will be a move you will have to live witrh for the rest of your life. And for the record I got out in four years as a E-4 ,,but I did take my E-5 exam so I might have made rank if I would have re enlisted.
